Thank you to all who joined the recent IEEE PES webinar exploring how multiportconverters can address the evolving challenges of modern distribution grids including the integration of renewables and their modelling.
The session featured key insights from the iPLUG-HE project speakers Ahmed Yahia Farag from Università degli Studi di Padova, Antonio Pepiciello from IREC – Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya, Marc Cheah Mañé from Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria Industrial de Barcelona and Mebtu Bihonegn Beza from Chalmers University of Technology covering advanced converter topologies, control strategies, and system-level design for LV and MV applications.
The discussion emphasized the importance of robust modelling, coordinated control and EU-led innovation to support a smarter and more resilient grid.
