Introduction of Multiport Power Converter within MV networks shows a potential for greater power flow balancing between feeders operating either at the same or different voltage levels. In such cases, additional ports of the converter can be used to utilise local #renewablegeneration, adapt backup #energystorage devices or support #EV charging infrastructure. As a result, Multiport Power Converter will allow not only a smooth penetration of renewables and controllable loads but it will also improve capabilities to integrate with the existing grid technologies. As a result, iPLUG-HE project outcomes will bring a positive impact on the whole #electricalsector and #transport, making it a real game-changer for the implementation of net-zero energy transition.
