Two weeks ago, Marti Dominguez from CITCEA-UPC presented at the HVDC Colloquium held at ETSEIB, UPC.

This colloquium is organized by Universitat Politècnica de CatalunyaKU LeuvenImperial College LondonCardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd and Centrale Lille and it was a great opportunity to share research between academics in the electronic grid field and more specifically in the HVDC field.

Martí presented his progress in the iPLUG-HE project with a presentation entitled “Comparison of control strategies for a non-isolated MMC Multiport Converter”, in which a comparison in abnormal grid conditions between two different control architectures of a Multiport Converter based on Modular Multilevel Converters (MMCs) was presented.

The HVDC colloquium provided a unique opportunity not only presenting iPLUG’s work but also to engage with fellow experts, exchange ideas, and stay at the forefront of the latest developments in the electronic grid domain.

The insights gained from this event will undoubtedly fuel the continued success of our project.
