iPLUG-HE<\/a> project was represented by our colleague Ahmed Yahia Farag<\/a> from Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Padova<\/a> at the ECCE Europe<\/a> held at Darmstadt (Germany).<\/p>\n @Ahmed Yahia Farag<\/a>, presented a comprehensive study which evaluates #<\/span>Integration<\/a> of DC Microgrids (MGs) into distribution networks providing a promising solution to meet the rising demand in the electric #<\/span>energymarket<\/a>.<\/p>\n DC-MGs offer an efficient solution due to their compatibility with #<\/span>renewablesources<\/a>, #<\/span>electronicloads<\/a>, and #<\/span>energystorage<\/a> and in order to maintain sustained and reliable operation. Additionally, DC-MGs are commonly connected to utility grids through interlinking converters that can be categorized based on the targeted power levels into single-phase and three-phase converters.<\/p>\n This paper introduces #<\/span>multiportconverters<\/a> (MPCs) as a promising alternative, consolidating different energy ports and proposes a non-isolated MPC to interface the three-phase AC grid with the 400 V DC-MGs.
